Firefighting Publicity Enters Construction Workers Wearing "Hard Hats"

In an effort to enhance fire safety awareness among construction workers and improve their ability to respond during emergencies, the Pujiang Fire Brigade launched a comprehensive campaign on April 25th, just before the May Day holiday. The team visited 18 ongoing construction sites, conducting various fire safety activities aimed at educating workers on prevention, escape techniques, and the proper use of firefighting equipment. During the event, firefighters focused on explaining the specific risks associated with construction sites, such as flammable materials and electrical hazards. They demonstrated effective self-rescue methods and provided hands-on training on using fire extinguishers and other safety tools. Many workers were seen wearing "hard hats" as part of the interactive session, making the learning experience more engaging and memorable. Given that many of the workers are migrant laborers with limited formal education, the fire brigade used visual aids, including comic-style guides and illustrated handbooks, to simplify complex fire safety concepts. These materials covered not only site-specific dangers but also basic fire prevention tips for home environments, which proved very popular among the participants. Over 3,800 informational materials were distributed throughout the campaign, significantly raising the overall fire safety awareness among the workforce. This initiative has helped build a stronger fire safety culture on construction sites, creating a safer working environment for all involved. The campaign reflects the growing commitment of local authorities to protect workers through education and proactive measures, ensuring that safety remains a top priority in every project.
