At present, the National Diamond Quality Inspection Center, the Energy-Saving Construction Materials Inspection Center, and the Solar Product Quality Inspection Center have established their operations in Ezhou. Additionally, the China Quality Certification Center has signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation with the Municipal People's Government to jointly promote the construction of the Ezhou Ecological Civilization Demonstration Zone. The National Organic Product Quality Inspection Center has also been selected to be located in the Wutong Lake New District, while the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau’s large-flow testing project has been set up in the Gedian Development Zone.

Quality innovation plays a crucial role in enterprise development. It serves as a key tool for business upgrades. Through initiatives like the Mayor’s Quality Award, efforts to secure Hubei provincial famous brands, and enhanced performance management, enterprises are encouraged to improve their quality management systems and implement innovative practices. This approach helps them pursue quality and brand efficiency, thereby enhancing their long-term development potential. This year, the city added 4 new Hubei provincial famous brand enterprises, bringing the total to 30-35 products. These branded enterprises contribute significantly to the city’s large-scale industrial output, accounting for 33% of value-added, 36% of sales revenue, 21% of total profits, and 15% of tax contributions. Moving forward, the municipal quality supervision department will continue to refine its quality evaluation mechanisms, promote quality across all levels, strengthen the city’s quality foundation, and launch the “Quality Strong City†initiative. They will openly and fairly select the next batch of Long Quality Award winners based on updated standards.
Standards play a vital role in driving industry progress, especially in emerging sectors. In recent years, the Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau has focused on developing technical standards for diamond blades, solar photovoltaic components, ecological agriculture, and energy-saving technologies. Enterprises such as Gudi Technology and Xingfang Abrasives have been actively involved in national and industry standard revisions, helping to secure industry influence and drive projects through scientific research. This enhances corporate competitiveness. The bureau is also working on establishing a standardized urban service system. In the coming period, they will integrate technical standards with quality development strategies to provide better standard services for new urbanization. They will innovate social service standards, conduct pilot projects in areas like banking, logistics, and welfare homes, and optimize urban services. Furthermore, they will push forward agricultural standardization demonstration zones to boost agricultural production and increase farmers’ income.

In recent years, the Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau has introduced public testing platforms tailored to specific industries, using preferential policies to attract investment and seeking support as a strategic breakthrough. Currently, the National Diamond Quality Inspection Center, the Energy-Saving Construction Material Inspection Center, and the Solar Product Quality Inspection Center have all settled in Ezhou. The China Quality Certification Center has also partnered with the Municipal Government to jointly advance the Ezhou Ecological Civilization Demonstration Zone.
