Multifunctional automatic escape fire door working principle

Multifunctional automatic escape fire door working principle In high-rise buildings, fire doors play a critical role in preventing the spread of flames and smoke. The multifunctional automatic escape fire door is designed not only to block the fire but also to alert occupants and provide a safe exit route during emergencies. This intelligent system can automatically unlock, open, and even close the door when necessary, ensuring that people can evacuate quickly and safely. The automatic unlocking mechanism relies on smoke detection sensors, which are highly sensitive to early signs of fire. When smoke is detected, the system immediately triggers an alarm and simultaneously activates the automatic lock release. Under normal conditions, three identical automatic locks secure the door. When power is supplied, the electromagnet inside the lock generates a magnetic field that pulls the lock core down, allowing the door to open. If the power is cut off, the spring mechanism pushes the lock back into place, securing the door again. This ensures that the door remains locked when not in use, providing security without compromising safety during emergencies. For the automatic opening and closing function, a motor-driven gear system is used. One of the gears is incomplete (with half of its teeth missing), while the other is a standard gear. Normally, these gears do not mesh, so the door operates like a regular door. However, when a fire is detected, the circuit is activated, and the motor turns the incomplete gear. As the toothless portion moves, it aligns with the standard gear, causing them to interlock and rotate the door open. Once fully opened to 90 degrees, a switch cuts off the power, stopping the motor. When the fire subsides or the temperature rises to a dangerous level, a thermal switch activates, reversing the motor to close the door and prevent further fire spread. A position sensor confirms when the door is fully closed, cutting off the power again. In case someone is still trapped, a remote button allows for quick access, ensuring no one is left behind. Choosing the right detector is essential for the system’s effectiveness. Photoelectric smoke detectors are ideal for hotels, offices, and public spaces due to their resistance to false alarms and ability to detect smoke accurately. UV flame detectors are suitable for areas with high ceilings where traditional smoke detectors may not work effectively. Ionization smoke detectors offer fast and reliable early warning, especially in environments prone to rapid fire spread. Infrared beam detectors are perfect for large structures like high-rises and museums, offering long-range detection and easy installation. Overall, the multifunctional automatic escape fire door combines advanced technology with user-friendly design, making it a vital component in modern fire safety systems. It ensures timely evacuation, protects lives, and minimizes property damage by responding swiftly to emergencies.
