(4) Coupling
When the motor is directly coupled to the lead screw, a coupling is used.

Second, the ball screw nut pair(A) the way the ball is cycled
Outer loop: The ball is sometimes detached from the lead screw during the cycle. The manufacturing process is simple; the radial size is large, the rigidity is low, the wear is easy, and the noise is large.
Inner loop: The ball is always in contact with the lead screw during the cycle. Compact structure, good rigidity, reliable positioning, not easy to wear, and low friction loss. The structure is complicated and manufacturing is difficult.
(2) Preloading of the ball screw nut pair
The ball screw nut pair must be pre-tensioned for proper operation. Pre-tightening: Eliminate the gap between the ball and the raceway to ensure the transmission accuracy; make the ball and the raceway a little contact and become a micro-face contact, improve the transmission rigidity. Double nuts are often used to axially displace the two nuts to eliminate clearance and apply preload. Preloading often has three structures:
1. Thread backlash structure
One nut is broken outside the flange, and the outer end of the nut is threaded. Two round nuts are mounted on the top, and the two nuts are connected with the nut seat by a flat key to limit the rotation of the nut. By tightening the round nut, the two nuts can be displaced in the axial direction, eliminating the gap and applying the preload. The structure is simple, the adjustment is convenient; the adjustment precision is poor.
2. Gasket anti-backlash structure
The outer ends of the two nuts are flanged. By grinding the thickness of the gasket, the two nuts are axially displaced, eliminating the gap and applying the preload. The structure is simple, the rigidity is good, the assembly and disassembly is convenient; the adjustment is troublesome.
