3. Structural design of the tool The new ceramic blade, like most carbide inserts, is mostly a flat blade without holes and back angles. The ceramic blade has extremely poor solderability, and the upper-press type mechanical clamping method makes the clamping quick and simple. Figure 6 shows a simplified view of the cutterhead and the toolholder used in our test. For the sake of simplicity, we chose a universal end mill cutter disc. The size of the cutter disc directly affects the high-speed finish milling results.
