[Use of spray paint gun] How to use spray paint gun Tips for spray paint

Spray paint tips

Master the correct spraying operation skills during the spraying process. The purpose is to save the coating, obtain the coating that meets the quality requirements, avoid the quality and physical consumption of the coating, and reduce the chance of waste. Training with the right paint handling skills and turning this technique into a habit can not only improve productivity, but also improve film quality. Below we will introduce the basic techniques used when using an airless or general air atomizing device.

[Preparation before painting]

The spray gun and related equipment should be cleaned and should be in normal working condition. Check that the gun produces the ideal spray shape. The ideal spray should be symmetrical, evenly atomized, and the edges clear. The air compressor capacity that can only be configured with a small amount of paint mist particles outside the spray edge should meet the requirements of the equipment instruction manual. For example, the GPQ6C airless sprayer has an air consumption of 300 to 2500 L/min, and should be equipped with an air compressor of 1.6 to 2.5 m3 or 2.5 m3. In order to ensure a sufficient amount of intake air, the air outlet of the air compressor and the inner diameter of the air pipe connected to the sprayer inlet shall be not less than the diameter of the intake pipe specified in the specification.

[spray pressure]

The conditions to achieve the proper atomization pressure: the minimum atomization pressure required to achieve the ideal atomization of the liquid. Therefore, the principle to be adjusted when adjusting the pressure is: "The spray shape is good, the pressure pair is set" (the pressure should be as low as possible) is too high. The pressure does not improve the quality of the coating, it will only shorten the life of the equipment and increase the wear of the nozzle, and will cause the paint to rebound, waste paint and pollute the space.

[spraying tips]

I. Overview

a. The gun should be in motion before the trigger is turned;

b. Keep the distance between the spray gun and the workpiece constant, not far from time to time;

c. The spray gun should move at a constant speed during spraying;

d. When spraying the same work, the starting point of the first spraying stroke should be the same;

e. The surface of the workpiece should be covered by a wet lacquer;

f. The amount of overlap of adjacent spray strokes is consistent;

g. For the same workpiece, the number of spray strokes should be consistent;

Second, the spray gun distance

a. The distance between the spray gun and the workpiece is about: ordinary air atomization, 15 ~ 20cm; airless spray atomization, 30 ~ 38cm

b. The gun can be closer to obtain a wet, darker, thicker coating;

c. When obtaining a dry, lighter, thinner coating, the spray gun can be removed farther;

Third, the spray stroke

a. The movement path of the spray gun is kept parallel to the surface of the workpiece;

b. The gun body is perpendicular to the surface of the workpiece, otherwise it will cause waste of paint;

c. Do not allow the spray gun to move in an arc, in order to move the operator's forearms and shoulders, not just the wrist;

d. The adjacent spraying line should have a lap joint; for ordinary airless spraying, the lap joint amount is 50%; for airless spray, the lap joint amount is 25%;

e. When the uniformity of the thickness of the coating is required to be high, the cross-spraying method should be adopted, firstly spraying in a straight direction.

f. When spraying outside the air, pay attention to the wind direction. The unsprayed surface should be below the wind to bring the flying paint and rebound to the unsprayed surface.

These basic skills are just a function of throwing bricks. Because of the wide variety of workpieces and coatings, users can combine these basic principles to determine their own spraying skills according to their actual situation. The instructions for proper operation and maintenance of the equipment have been explained in detail in the operating instructions for each type of spray equipment. Only some of the problems that are easily overlooked by users are discussed here.

First, matters needing attention before equipment investment

1. The capacity of the air compressor supplied by the user should meet the air consumption of the machine as specified in the manual, and should be as large as possible. The outlet pipe and intake port should comply with the regulations in order to maintain sufficient intake air.

2. The compressed air that is compressed by air enters the spray equipment after being filtered, which is beneficial to ensure the service life of the pneumatic system.

3. The paint should be filtered first. The filter should be selected according to the viscosity and particle size of the paint. The filter is too thin to pass easily. If it is too thick, the spray gun is easily blocked.

4. The air compressor should be as far away as possible from the spray site to reduce the possibility of compressor contamination.

5. All airless spray equipment should be well grounded to avoid static sparks.

Second, the precautions in the spraying process

1. During the spraying process, the gun trigger lock should be locked in time when cleaning, replacing the nozzle or not spraying. Under no circumstances should the gun mouth be directed toward others to avoid damage.

2. Use the lowest possible spray pressure. Excessive paint pressure will not improve the coating, it will only shorten the life of the equipment and increase the wear of the nozzle, while increasing the unsafe factors.

Third, the precautions after the end of spraying

1. Discharge of the paint: Lift the suction pipe from the paint bucket, let the pump run at no load, and discharge the paint, filter, high-pressure hose and the remaining paint in the spray gun.

2. Dissolve the no-load cycle. Insert the suction tube into the solvent and clean the parts of the equipment with a no-load empty cycle.

3. The discharge of the solvent, the suction pipe is proposed to dissolve the barrel, the air is circulated, and the solvent is discharged.

These basics provide a comprehensive picture of all the things and techniques that need to be taken care of, and the painter's strict adherence to the cleaning code is extremely important to maintain the condition of the equipment and extend the life of the equipment. This is the long-term solution.

Sintered Ferrite Magnet, hard ferrite, hard ferrite magnet is also called Ceramic Magnets.
Sintered ferrite magnets are available in isotropic magnet and anisotropic magnets. The magnetic properties of isotropic ferrite are low. Since they have nearly the same magnetic properties in all directions, so isotropic ferrite magnets can be magnetized in many different directions or in multi-poles. Anisotropic ferrite magnets have better magnetic properties compare with isotropic ferrite magnets. However this type of magnets can only be magnetized along a preferred direction.

Permanent ferrite magnets are made of hard ferrites, which have a high coercivity and high remanence after magnetization. Iron oxide and barium or strontium carbonate are used in manufacturing of hard ferrite magnets. The high coercivity means the materials are very resistant to becoming demagnetized, an essential characteristic for a permanent magnet. They also have high magnetic permeability. These so-called ceramic magnets are cheap, and are widely used in household products such as refrigerator magnets. The maximum magnetic field B is about 0.35 tesla and the magnetic field strength H is about 30 to 160 kiloampere turns per meter (400 to 2000 oersteds). The density of ferrite magnets is about 5 g/cm3.

The most common hard ferrites are:
Strontium ferrite, SrFe12O19 (SrO·6Fe2O3), used in small electric motors, micro-wave devices, recording media, magneto-optic media, telecommunication and electronic industry.
Barium ferrite, BaFe12O19 (BaO·6Fe2O3), a common material for permanent magnet applications. Barium ferrites are robust ceramics that are generally stable to moisture and corrosion-resistant. They are used in e.g. loudspeaker magnets and as a medium for magnetic recording, e.g. on magnetic stripe cards.

Why choose Ferrite Magnet?
1. Low cost and low price.
The raw material cost is very cheap and manufacturing process is simple. So the price if it is very low.
2. Nice temperature stability
Ferrite magnets can be used in the working temperature from -40℃ to 200℃.
3. Well prevent  corrosion
The raw material of sintered ferrite magnet is oxide, so ferrite magnets will not be rusted under severe environment nor affected by many chemicals.
