Electronic Tag Tracking ** Product Storage

Electronic tags track the shipment of firecrackers As the Year of the Snake approaches, Tongzhou District is preparing for its annual fireworks sales, set to begin on February 5, 2013, coinciding with the Lunar New Year. Immediately following the sale, the first batch of fireworks and firecrackers has been moved into storage, triggering an enhanced security protocol across the entire facility. Recently, a reporter visited the Tongzhou District Security Supervision Bureau to learn more about how these dangerous materials are being stored safely. According to the warehouse manager, over 9,000 boxes of fireworks have already been placed in storage. To ensure maximum safety, the warehouse has increased staffing to provide round-the-clock protection. An advanced infrared detection system has been installed along the exterior walls, ensuring that even the smallest movement—like a bird flying by—will trigger an alarm. In addition, the facility is equipped with high-resolution video surveillance, allowing warehouse managers to monitor conditions in real time from their computers. This system is connected to both the district and city-level security departments, creating a multi-layered oversight network. At each warehouse entrance, an electrostatic discharge device is installed. Before entering, individuals must touch a stainless steel ball to eliminate any static electricity, reducing the risk of accidental ignition. All electronic devices, including mobile phones, are required to be turned off before entry, and only eight people are allowed inside at any given time. Inside, temperature and humidity levels are constantly monitored using detailed charts, as fluctuations could potentially cause spontaneous combustion of the fireworks. During a recent inspection, law enforcement officers unpacked several boxes to verify the contents. They found that all products are now integrated into a comprehensive management system, with electronic tags used to track every step of the supply chain. Each box of legal fireworks features a unique chip embedded in the packaging. By scanning it with specialized equipment, officials can instantly access details such as the product name, ingredients, manufacturing date, and inventory status. This system allows full traceability from the factory to transportation, storage, and final distribution. On the same day, inspectors also conducted a thorough review of the warehouse’s compliance with safety regulations. They checked the types and specifications of fireworks stored, the capacity of the storage area, ventilation systems, and stacking methods. Additionally, they assessed the surrounding environment, security infrastructure, staff training, and emergency response procedures to ensure everything meets the highest safety standards. With these measures in place, Tongzhou is working hard to make sure the upcoming fireworks season is both festive and secure.
