3D printing program lets you “homemade” medicines at home

Researchers said that using a commercial three-dimensional printer equipped with open source computer-aided design software can produce a variety of "reactionware" that can synthesize various organic and inorganic materials. The "reaction piece" is a special kind of container made of polymer gel, set to work at room temperature, dedicated to chemical reactions. It also includes a catalyst as a printing material and other components for electrochemical analysis and spectral analysis. Put the container into the printer and add other chemicals. The container itself will become part of the reaction process. This reaction is usually done by large chemical plants, and the "reaction piece" allows it to enter the laboratory for the first time.

The researchers pointed out that in the past, all kinds of utensils that could only be produced with expensive professional facilities could be produced at lower cost through 3D printing, and now 3D printers have entered a more attractive field: directly printing chemical reagents into 3D reaction parts The source body combines the design, construction and numerical control operations of the reactor.
