US company plans to develop castor oil energy in China

On the 9th, the Malaysian investment company PGCG held a launching ceremony for the main board of the American Stock Exchange. According to the company’s latest plan, a ramie planting cooperation project will be launched in Asia. The company will develop ramie cultivation in China and Thailand in the next three years. The latter can refine biodiesel. However, the industry pointed out that in the field of new energy development, ramie still faces some problems in planting and application.

PGCG pointed out that in the next three years, the company will focus on the development of 10,000 mu of planted ramie and the establishment of two ramie plants in the Chinese mainland, and will work together with Thailand to develop 10,000 mu of ramie planting base to enter the green energy field. . Biodiesel refined with castor oil is a clean energy source with a biodegradation rate of 98%, which is twice that of diesel.

According to industry sources, Brazil is the first country to use ramie to produce biodiesel and has potential as an energy source. However, there are still some issues that need to be resolved. For example, the viscosity of biodiesel produced from castor oil is relatively large. When used, biodiesel needs to be mixed with a certain proportion of common diesel oil. In addition, the growth cycle is also longer, and there is also a problem of economic benefits compared with common diesel oil.
