On February 22nd, the second round of shale gas bidding enterprises, local governments, and relevant land and resources management departments docking symposium was held in Beijing. Participants at the conference focused on how to do a good job of shale gas winning bidding companies and local governments to promote shale gas exploration and development. Previously, the Ministry of Land and Resources had held a matchmaking meeting in Guizhou Province and Hunan Province, where the second round of bidding for the transfer of blocks. So far, the second round of bidding for shale gas exploration has completed the docking work between all successful bidders and local governments and land and resources authorities. At the docking meeting, the participants believed that the block currently being sold is a favorable block for shale gas exploration in China and has the conditions for exploration and development. However, there is still a long way to go before the real development and utilization, and it must be carried out earnestly and pragmatically. Technical research, focus on learning from advanced technology experience, and strive to take less detours. Enterprises and governments must do their utmost to perform their duties, improve mechanisms, and form synergies to fully promote shale gas exploration and development.
The person in charge of the Geological Exploration Department stressed at the matchmaking meeting that the shale gas exploration bid-winning enterprises should fulfill their commitments and investigate according to law; refine the plan, rationally deploy, carefully analyze the existing risk problems, and effectively assume the main responsibility of the enterprise, and shale gas. The combination of development and local economic development, while realizing the development of the enterprise, contributes to the economic and social development of the resource. Relevant local governments should take the initiative to provide good services to help enterprises solve the difficulties and problems encountered in exploration and development, and support the development of enterprises. Land management departments at all levels must perform good service and supervision duties.
It is reported that the Ministry of Land and Resources has organized two rounds of open bidding for shale gas prospecting rights in 2011 and 2012. In January this year, the exploration license for the second round of 16 winning bidders and 19 exploration blocks was issued. At the matchmaking meeting, the 7 companies that won the bid in the second round introduced the work and the next step of the bidding work. The relevant person in charge of the relevant city and county government also said that it will fully support enterprises to carry out shale gas exploration and assist economic and social development through shale gas exploration and development.
