International Power Network News: The Electricity Regulatory Commission said on the 17th that in November the growth of electricity consumption in the entire society continued to rise. The electricity supply and demand across the country was balanced. There was no power gap in all provinces and cities. Industrial electricity consumption contributed 69.5% to the growth of electricity consumption in the whole society, an increase of 42.9 percentage points from September. Among them, the contribution rate of power industry growth in heavy industry reached 56.2%, which is an increase of 51.2 percentage points from September.
According to the “Analysis of Power Industry Operation in Nov. 2012†promulgated by the China Electricity Regulatory Commission on the same day, the growth rate of electricity use in all 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) in November showed positive growth. Among them, electricity consumption in the eastern and central regions was 2137 and 90.9 billion kWh, respectively, an increase of 7.1% and 5.5% year-on-year, respectively. The growth rate increased by 2.5 and 3.1 percentage points from the previous month, continuing the upward trend in October? In the main electricity industry, in November, the four major industries of chemicals, building materials, ferrous metal smelting, and non-ferrous metal smelting used a total of 135.63 billion kWh, an increase of 7.6% year-on-year, an increase of 6.3 percentage points over the previous month.
