Some content that should be noted when registering mixed preparations

Whether there is a synergistic effect: the combined action type of the mixed preparation should be synergistic or additive, and should not be antagonistic. Synergistic or additive effect means that the effect of the combination of two or more active ingredients is greater than or equal to the sum of the individual components, and the antagonistic effect means that the action of two or more active ingredients disappears or weakens. In the determination of the combined action of the compound, the Colby method and the Gowing method are generally used for the herbicide, and the Wadley method and the Sun Yunpei method are generally used for the bactericide, and the test for the joint action of the pesticide mixture also has corresponding test criteria.
Whether it can delay the resistance: delaying resistance is also an important purpose of pesticide compounding, and the combination of active ingredients with different action mechanisms can slow the occurrence of drug resistance. The problem of resistance of mixed preparations should also pay attention to whether there is cross-resistance between the various components. The risk of cross-resistance is generally higher when the components with the same mechanism of action are mixed. For example, imidacloprid and acetamiprid belong to the same nicotinic genus. Insecticides, studies have shown that they exhibit cross-resistance to insects such as rice brown planthopper.
Whether it can improve the quick-acting effect or the persistence effect: it is generally necessary to select the active ingredients mixed with different quick-acting and sustained-effect characteristics, so that the active ingredients can complement each other in quickness and effectiveness. For example, avermectin has the effects of contact and stomach toxicity on pests and mites, and has the advantages of high efficiency, low toxicity, low residue, slow resistance to drug production, long duration of action, etc.; however, avermectin has a slower insecticidal rate. When mixed with quick-acting insecticides such as acetamiprid and scorpion, it has the advantages of quick-acting and long-lasting.
Can expand the spectrum of prevention and control: When the mixed active ingredients have different preventable objects, the spectrum of prevention and treatment of the mixed preparations can be expanded. For example, the mixture of pyrazosulfuron and bispyribyl ether can expand the spectrum of killing. Some of the problems that are only for the purpose of expanding the control object should pay more attention to this problem, and choose the appropriate active ingredients.
Other matters needing attention: Article 8 of the "Pesticide Registration Management Measures" stipulates that the active ingredients of the mixed preparations shall not exceed two, and the active ingredients such as herbicides , seed treatment agents and pheromones shall not exceed three. The compounding preparation with the same active ingredient and the same dosage form has a ratio of not more than 3; the total content gradient of the same ratio is not more than 3.
