Solar water heating system

The most widespread solar applications of the early days were used to heat water, and today there are millions of solar water heaters around the world. The main components of the solar water heating system include three parts: collector, storage device and circulation pipeline. In addition, there may be auxiliary energy devices (such as electric heaters) for use in the absence of sunshine, and there may be water for forced circulation to control the water level or the device that controls the electric part or temperature and the tube that receives the load. Road and so on. According to the cycle, the solar water heating system can be divided into two types:

1. Natural circulation type:

This type of storage tank is placed above the collector. The water is heated by the solar radiation in the collector, and the temperature rises, causing the water temperature in the collector and the storage tank to be different, resulting in a difference in density, thus causing buoyancy. This thermosyphon appears to cause the water to flow naturally in the water removal tank and the collector. . The relationship between the density and the density of the water is proportional to the amount of solar energy absorbed by the collector. This type has been widely used because it does not require circulating water and is very simple to maintain.

2. Forced circulation:

The hot water system uses water to circulate between the collector and the storage tank. When the water temperature at the top of the collector is higher than the water temperature at the bottom of the tank, the control device will activate the water to cause the water to flow. A check valve is provided at the water inlet to prevent nighttime water from flowing back from the collector, causing heat loss. The flow rate of the hot water system of this type can be known (because of the flow rate from the water), the performance can be easily predicted, and the amount of heated water can be estimated in a certain period of time. Under the same design conditions, the natural circulation method has the advantage of obtaining higher water temperature, but because it must use water, it has water and electricity, maintenance (such as water leakage, etc.) and the control device stops when it is moving, which easily damages the water. And so on. Therefore, in addition to large hot water systems or situations requiring higher water temperatures, forced circulation is preferred, and natural circulation water heaters are generally used.
