Simple identification of the advantages and disadvantages of phosphate fertilizer

Phosphate fertilizer is a non-crystalline, sparingly soluble or water-insoluble fertilizer. It can be identified from the following aspects:

1. Observe the color and shape. Phosphate fertilizer is grayish white and generally powdery. If the color is white or yellow, it indicates that the acid treatment is incomplete or the doping is false during the formation, and the phosphorus content is low. If it has been agglomerated, it means it is hygroscopic and the quality will be affected.

2, smell the smell. The standard phosphate fertilizer is slightly sour. If it is not, it means that the amount of sulfuric acid used in the production process is insufficient, the reaction is incomplete, and the active ingredient content is low. If the sour taste is pungent, it means that the free acid content is too high. After use, it will not only fail to get the proper fertilizer effect, but also pollute the soil, cause soil compaction, burn plant roots, and affect seed germination.

3. Touch by hand. The moisture content of phosphate fertilizer is generally 8%-14%, and it feels cool by hand, but it has no trace. If the water is squeezed out by hand, it indicates that the moisture content is too high, and the quality of the phosphate fertilizer is poor. If it feels like dry soil by hand, it means that the acid treatment is not complete and its active ingredient content is low.

4. Burning test. In the burning test, the phosphate fertilizer does not melt and does not react.
