The Cameroon Tribune reported on February 26 that the Quality Standards Bureau of Cameroon and related experts last Wednesday jointly studied the Cameroon petroleum product production standards.
According to the person in charge of the agency, currently Cameroon shares 400 standards, only 100 standards are mandatory implementation standards, and there is no mandatory implementation of petroleum product production standards, and production companies may or may not implement them. In order to enhance consumer safety, environmental protection and physical health, the Minister of Industry, Minerals and Technology Development of Cameroon will sign regulations to establish mandatory enforcement standards for petroleum products in Cameroon.
At present, the standard is being developed by relevant experts. Cameroon oil production standards will be mandatory and all production companies must comply with it.
